Pre-Care:

  • Avoid sun and tanning on your face two weeks prior to procedure. If you are sun burnt in the area, your appointment will need to be rescheduled and you deposit will be forfeited.

  • NO alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure to minimize swelling and oozing. (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!).

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure. These will thin the blood and will cause more bleeding.

  • Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes (Shakeology, etc), “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements two weeks prior to procedure.

  • Discontinue Retin-A, Chemical and Laser Peels, microdermabrasion, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), and any chemical exfoliant or “brightening” skincare at least 2 weeks prior (Once your brows have healed, you must avoid use of these products on forehead area procedure to prevent premature fading).

  • Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 2 weeks – 1 month prior to procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables. it is recommended to wait 2 weeks – 1 month after your Touch-Up appointment to resume receiving botox and fillers in the brow/eye area.

  • Avoid the following herbs and spices 48 hours before procedure: ginger, cinnamon, garlic, black and cayenne pepper.

  • No brow waxing or threading 3 days before your appointment.

Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

  • If you are or have…

    -Pregnant or Nursing

    -Diabetic (uncontrolled)

    -Viral infections and/or diseases

    -Epilepsy

    -A Pacemaker or major heart problems

    -Had an Organ transplant

    -Tendency towards keloids or scarring

    -Seborrheic dermatitis

    -Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)

    -Sick (cold, flu, etc.)

    -Had Botox less than 2 weeks prior to appointment

    -Used Retinol or Retin-A in the last 2 weeks

    -Used Accutane in the past year

    -Allergic to anesthetic (Lidocaine)

    -Extremely Oily or Problematic Skin

    -On Steroids or antibiotics, (must be off medication for at least 1 month)

  • Minimal to no pain. We use lidocaine numbing throughout the procedure.

  • About 2 – 2 1/2 hours for initial appointments, and 1 – 1 1/2 hours for Touch-Ups.

  • Your first touch up should be scheduled 6-8 weeks from your initial appointment.

  • Typically lasts 1-3 years depending on skin type and after care. Annual touch ups are recommended to do a color boost, if you have oily skin you may need to come in more frequent.

  • Yes, we will thoroughly measure and shape your brows before doing the actual procedure. We ensure the client is happy with the shape and color before starting the procedure.

  • Typically we ask what the client prefers. Color is then formulated based off of patient’s hair color, brow color, and their skin undertones.

  • About 10 days for the scabbing phase, but 4 full weeks for the color to finalize.

  • No, consultations are optional only. We go over all details in the beginning of your appointment, but if you have previously tattooed brows, you must send us photos or come in for a consult to determine which service is best for you.
